First Port of Call

The number one mistake people make with their goal body weight is comparing themselves to other people.

Now I don’t mean that in the happy clap way. I mean there are so many dynamics at play it would be madness to compare your weight to someone else.

Consider their height, their muscle mass; those two things alone can make literal stone differences in weight.

What I mean is a person who is 6ft and weighs 10 stone, will look completely different to someone 5ft 2, weighing 10 stone.

So that best friend who you want to look like or celebrity model… don’t go googling their weight and making it your target unless your stats are matching!

I must be absolutely clear, this calculator is based on my own experience of what I know clients of mine have been happy with over the years, I’ve done personal training, transformation clubs, and obviously now Team RH with over 500,000 members so I’ve got a good idea of what people are happy with. I want you to keep this in mind though, your ideal body weight is actually this….

As long as your health markers are in check, you know, blood pressure, cholesterol, HbA1c, etc etc, and you are personally happy with your reflection in the mirror….

Then that is your real ideal body weight. The calculator is more vanity related, what weight would you need to look good in a bikini/shorts etc

The Calculator Explained

I’ve designed it to give a good average rating, based on whether you have muscle mass from training or not.

Could it be more accurate? Yes, absolutely but we’re only talking a couple of pounds.

I’ve basically built it, so it asks for your height and body weight, which gives an average assumption of your muscle mass.

It then subtracts that and works out your remaining physical body fat.

I’ve tested this for over 6 months now and its honestly within at 99% accuracy.
