Lentil and Beef Curry

Our Lentil and Beef Curry is a great meal for all the family to enjoy!


Serves 4

  • 480g Beef Mince
  • 300g Onion diced 
  • 2 Garlic cloves
  •  470g Drained brown lentils
  • 450g Pasanda sauce
  • 10g Pasanda seasoning
  • 20g Tomato puree
  • 10g Ginger seasoning
  • 400ml Lighter coconut milk
  • 300ml Water
  • 10g Chicken stock powder
  • Fry light
  • 2 Spring onions (Sliced)
  • 200g Kale
  • 2 Reduced naan breads


  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C. Heat the oil in the frying pan on medium to high heat.
  2. When the pan is hot, add the mince and season with salt and pepper. Cook until browned 4-5 minutes. Use a wooden spoon to break it up as it cooks. Drain and discard any fat from the beef, then season with salt and pepper.
  3. Once the beef is browned, stir in the onion and cook for 4-5mins.
  4. Stir in the garlic, pasanda spice, tomato puree and ginger seasoning cook for one minute then add the coconut milk, water and chicken stock powder.
  5. Stir in the lentils, bring to the boil and simmer until the mixture has reduced slightly.
  6. Stir the Kale into the beef mixture in handfuls. Cover with a lid and simmer until the kale is tender. Meanwhile, pop the Naan into the oven.
  7. Serve in bowls with the spring onion sprinkled over the top and the naan on the side.
