"I was concerned that I wouldn't be around much longer."

My daughter had gotten quite sick and her health was my priority.

I never put my own health first and it really impacted my mental and physical state.

"I'd turn to food when I was depressed."

I became a massive comfort eater. It would make me feel better for a couple of minutes but then I'd just end up feeling worse after.

My activity levels were all or nothing. I'd go through a phase of doing too much exercise and then I'd just crash and give up.

"I'd tried every single diet you can think of and they never stuck."

I saw Richie's videos on Facebook and started to calorie count myself in June last year.
